Course Introduction
A Slewing Crane licence is a nationally recognised qualification that will give you the skills for roles that involve the safe operation of a range of slewing cranes. A crane licence allows you to safely operate a variety of these machines across the construction industry. Without the correct crane ticket you would not be able to operate these machines legally.
Pre-requisite
All students studying nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Click here to find your USI
There are no entry requirements for this qualification; however it is recommended that students have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.
Over 18 years.
Course content
- Work planning & conducting routine checks
- Setting up the crane
- Transferring/moving loads
- Load calculation
- Shut down and securing the crane
Duration / Flexibility
Competency-based training over 5 days
Onsite training 1-2 days formal training, 1 day practical training & up to 6 months logbook on the job
