Course Introduction

A Slewing Crane licence is a nationally recognised qualification that will give you the skills for roles that involve the safe operation of a range of slewing cranes. A crane licence allows you to safely operate a variety of these machines across the construction industry. Without the correct crane ticket, you would not be able to operate these machines legally.

Pre-requisite

  • All students studying nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Click here to find your USI
  • There are no entry requirements for this qualification; however, it is recommended that students have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.
  • Over 18 years.

Course content

  • Work planning & conducting routine checks
  • Setting up the crane
  • Transferring/moving loads
  • Load calculation
  • Shut down and securing the crane

Duration / Flexibility

Option 1

  • Onsite 1 day training, followed by 2 to 3 days of training at times and dates to suit your business and 3 months on a logbook under supervision on the job training

Option 2

  • Onsite 5 day course at your workplace
  • Training at your premises 4 days training 1 day assessment
